Ace gospel singer Chris Morgan escaped death

Chris Morgan, Nigeria's ace gospel music singer, escaped death by whiskers along Airport Road, Abuja during the weekend.

This is happening barely one week after clocking 40 years and few days to his ‘Timeless Worship2: The Closet Concert’,

The singer and his team were returning from an event when his car suddenly developed electrical fault along the road.

Reports indicate that the singer and his crew alighted to ascertain the real cause of the sudden breakdown when some heavily armed men emerged from the bush and robbed them off their valuables, including cash.

Our reporter gathered that the bloodthirsty attackers, who were apparently on a different mission, stabbed the singer close to his spinal cord with the aim of rendering him paralyzed.

“As if that was not enough, the man took his knife and wanted to slit my throat and I began to shout Jesus and hit the sword and it injured my hand.

“I summoned courage and I took off and they went after my boys, they chased one of them for close to 30 minutes in the bush but he escaped.

“I was in the middle of the road shouting for help in the pool of my blood when a woman saw me and recognized me, she quickly opened her back door and helped me to enter.

“It was God who saved me and my team. I thank God no life was lost. It was just another distraction from the enemy,” a thankful Morgan told our reporter.

Confirming the attack to this reporter, Morgan’s Manager, Moses Ogidi Paul, otherwise known as MadMo, described the incident as a miraculous escape.

“The devil has been put to shame. We are just busy preparing for his concert, The Closet with Chris Morgan and the devil thought he could distract us.

“The doctor said the sword was an inch away from his spinal cord, which would have coffined him to wheelchair,” he said.

Speaking on the forthcoming event, Ogidi said the event would hold despite the attack stressing that the 'Daily As I Live' crooner was responding to treatment.

“The show goes on. In fact, everything is set for the epoch-making event. Our billboards and adverts are all over the city of Abuja.

Good News!! Fuji Stars Pasuma & Osupa Finally End Their Long Time Enemity, To Drop New Song “No More War”

Nigeria’s leading Fuji stars, Saheed Osupa and Wasiu Alabi Pasuma are set to drop a new song together to mark the end of their long time beef.
While speaking with Naijaloaded, a close source in the Fuji scene disclosed that the two fuji icons have settled their differences and they are currently working on a new song, titled “No More War“.
For many years, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Saheed Osupa were close friends before the battle for superiority and Supremacy in the Fuji industry torn them apart.
Their enmity grew from bad to worse as both stars released series of tracks to diss each other and in many occasions, they throw abusive jabs at each other during live shows which have also degenerated into series of violent confrontations among their fans.
Meanwhile, the first time there seems to a show of peace between the duo was in December 2010 when Pasuma and Saheed Osupa were publicly photographed together during the burial ceremony of founder of Fuji music, Late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister who died on December 16, 2010.
Since 2010, the last time both stars were seen together was in 2015 at a Ramadan Lecture in Lagos. On that day, Clerics were able to reconcile them on the hot front of throwing abusive lyrics at each other in songs.
The good news now is that, both Saheed Osupa and Wasiu Alabi Pasuma have decided to bury the hatchet completely with a brand new song of peace titled “No More War” to be released very soon.

Benue Poll; Enenche comedian lent his voice

                   Enenche comedian
Benue born Comedian, Enenche Obonyilo, popularly called Enenche Comedian lent his voice in the recent election held in Benue State, describing it as "Comedy event". Enenche who is the CEO of Green White Entertainment gave his view facebook yesterday.

"MY VIEWS ON THE COMEDY EVENT IN BENUE STATE LAST WEEK SATURDAY IN THE NAME OF "ELECTION".

I am not endorsing or condemning the comedy event hosted by BSIEC last Saturday. That is the pattern of Local Government elections in Benue state, we are use to it that way. Ruling party candidates win everything. PDP members are crying because they are on the receiving end.

PDP did similar thing when in power. The game has not changed, what has changed is the same actors of rigging that have changed political parties.

To those who "won", I greet you in the name of peace and posterity. To those who "lost", weep not, just weep for the future of your children.

To those, especially those from my side of the country side, who put so much trust in man, who kept vigil at a golf course, who are members of mass choir of praise and worship, I have this for you; this is the reality of power... Nobody envisaged this three years ago.

No man has power forever, I want you guys to live in the reality of the moment. POWER HAS GONE. Stop living in the euphoria of yesterday.

One good thing about political power is that if it is there it is there, if it is not there, it is not there, nothing like HALF CURRENT.

Things may change for you guys in 2019, but for now; POWER DON GO.

No matter how frightening and intimidating a high tension pole looks like, if there is no power in it, there is no power in it.

Stop living in the euphoria of yesterday. I pity men who build their lives around something that is not permanent like POWER.

No man has power forever!

A mere comedian has spoken!

Goodnight Nigeria!

Linda Ikeji narrates how she climbed the ladder of success.

Linda Ikeji posts on her LIS page how she started the journey of her success way back in 2003 when she contested for Miss Nigeria. Linda launched a social network called Linda Ikeji Social (LIS) on 1st November, 2016. The site has had an appreciable number of members.

These are photos of me at a beach party organized for contestants of the 2003 Miss Nigeria pageant. I bet some of you didn't know I once contested? I told y'all I was a hustler back in the day..lol. Anyway, I desperately wanted to win the pageant because I believed I could use the platform to achieve my other dreams. I imagined all the possibilities, starting an NGO, having a TV show, rubbing shoulders with important people etc. I was a little famous back then as a model and when word got out that I was contesting, many of the soft sell magazines reported it.

About a week before the pageant, I was so sure I would win it that I started making plans for life after being crowned Miss Nigeria 2003. Most of the models and designers in Nigeria were behind me, even the press, so what could go wrong? Plus I'd organized the Miss Unilag pageant for 3 consecutive years so I knew what it took to win a pageant..or so I thought!

And then the day of the pageant came. After all the 26 contestants were introduced on stage in different costumes, it was time for the Top 10. We were all asked to go backstage so they could call out the 10 girls who had advanced to the next stage. I remember standing backstage with a huge smile on my face waiting for my number to be called. It was never called. Continue...
At first I thought it was a prank, that the organisers were just playing with me. That they would say a mistake was made and my number was omitted, and ask me to come join the other girls on stage. Then I heard the MC say 'ladies and gentlemen, these are your Top 10 contestants'. Then I saw all the other contestants who didn't make it taking off their jewelries and costumes. Some started crying, others were hugging each other but I didn't move. I couldn't believe it. Even if I didn't win the pageant, but not to even make Top 10? I was just standing there, unable to move...until a male model friend of mine came to hug me and told me 'all will be well'.

As I slowly started removing my costume, I remember thinking it was the end of everything I had planned for my future. I felt like a failure for weeks following the pageant. I was mostly in a daze, wondering what to do next. I'd thought being Miss Nigeria was the best thing that could happen to me. And that dream was gone, and with it, all the great things I could have done or become.

But you see people, I forgot for one moment, there was God. If only I knew that He had better plans for my future. Because you see, if I had won that pageant in 2003, I never would have - 3 years later - thought of starting a gossip blog. I probably would have thought it was beneath me as a former queen. My life would have taken a different turn...but that wasn't God's plans for me. So that disappointment was a huge blessing!

You see, sometimes, some of the most amazing blessings happen when things don't turn out the way we hoped it would. We think it's the end when it's just a bend leading us through the right path. You have to trust that God knows what He's doing in your life. Sometimes, He will not give you what you desperately want because He has planned something way better for you.

So when disappointments happen in your life, don't worry too much about it. Just trust God, stay patient and trust your journey.

All the best!
Linda

Olamide to release 6th studios album

It’s been a tradition now for the YBNL honcho, Olamide, to drop an album towards the end of every since 2012.

As expected, Nigerian rapper and YBNL leader, Olamide is planning to drop his 6th studio album in six years.

The yet-to-be-titled album will be dropped before the year runs out as he looks to continue his annual streak.

However, Olamide has promised to make his 6th studio album 100% hip-hop. He promises to deviate from making music of any other genre beside hip-hop. The rapper cum singer has been under backlash for venturing into singing and not keeping it real with hip-hop.

In his words, ‘We don’t stop the best of me. It’ll be a hip hop album this time, no experimenting, just rap. I’m doing this for the culture and hardcore fans.’

Olamide has released a studio album every year since his debut in 2011, when he dropped Rapsodi.

His other albums include YBNL (2012),Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (2013), Street OT(2014), and Eyan Mayweather(2015).

Kokomaster dropped from Kanye West record label

Award-winning Afrobeats act, D’banj, A.K.A Kokomaster, appears to have gone separate ways with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D music as a late tweet from the label confirmed the fears of many fans who hold the suspicion that Kokomaster is no longer affiliated to the label.
In an updated list of artistes signed to the Kanye’s music imprint, both old and recent, which G.O.O.D music released on Twitter, the Kokomaster’s name was prominently absent on the rundown, putting to rest gossipy tidbits with respect to whether he is still an act of the label.
The list of artistes include; Kanye West, Big Sean, Desiigner, John Legend, Pusha T, Tyga, Teyana Taylor, Kacy Hill and Q-Tip. A summary of signed acts on Def Jam Records’ site also has D’Banj’s name missing.
Music lovers in Nigeria have argued in favour of the label pointing out that D’banj have failed to put together an album after five years of parting ways with former label mate, Don Jazzy, back in 2011 and joining G.O.O.D Music.

P-Square finally unite

Nigeria iconic entertainers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye who parted for some months now have reunited. The twin brothers popularly called P-Square announced their reconciliation on their instagram page (@petepsquare). The post is posted thus:

"My dear fans, P-Square is back. Ours is a journey that started from our mother’s womb. It was a journey that started from Primary School, continued to St. Murumba College, to when we were in University in Abuja. It was a journey in which we shared childhood memories and grown-up dreams. We are back because brothers do not let each other wander in the dark alone. We are back because we have tried the lonely road and it was not the same.
I want to take responsibility for what has happened and sincerely apologise to you our fans. For supporting us throughout this journey we owed you so much more than what you have had to endure and I apologise for that. We are embarking now on a new journey with exciting new management (Jude Okoye), new music and new ideas.
We cannot thank you enough for all your prayers and support throughout this difficult period. Maya Angelou once said that brotherhood is a condition that people have to work at. We will continue to work on that and you can be prepared to be blown away by this new phase of P-Square.
God bless you all and be assured that you have not seen anything yet!
