Mr. Joshua Uche David who was a 400L student of Federal University of Technology Owerri from the department of Fisheries & Aquaculture Technology, School of Agriculture & Agricultural Technology hailed from Bende LGA in Abia State, Nigeria.
Report from his Best Friend whom he has been working with on campus during this period of ASUU Strike states that Mr. Josh was ill as at last week. He said:
"He was complaining about stomach pain, he couldn't defecate neither could he vomit. He even showed me the herbal medicine which he brought from home to help him vomit. He helps me sell my cucumber and we were supposed to meet on Monday 3rd, December but I didn't hear from him again. I had to go to his lodge to know why he didn't show up only for him to tell me that he took another medicine which his stomach didn't accept.
If I touch him on his belly, he would feel pained. Immediately, I sort for the contacts of his parents and put a call through to them. He even slumped on our way to board a cab that would take him to Aba where he resides..."
We gathered that Mr. Josh slumped in front of his residence not too long from when he came back home. He was later rushed to 3 different hospitals which was to no avail.
As we await his burial date, may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
