The commander gave a speech to the members encouraging all to follow rules of the roads.
He said
"It is a painful thing to loose someone especially those that are dear to us. Today we keep loosing our dear ones to road accidents and we are here joining the world to commensurate the death of friends by road accidents.
The most painful aspect is that these accident victims are majorly youths.
We need to be careful while driving, over traffic laws and officials, and prayerful."
The Pastor of the church Pastor Adekoya coming from the spiritual and scriptural end, gave an amazing and timely message titled "The reformative effect of holiness on the society."
Taking his text from 1Tim 1:8-13 and Proverbs 14:34 and using Paul the apostle as an example said that only holiness can make our society good.
He said:
"Our society is bad today because people have not come to terms with God. We need to know that sin and corruption bring enmity between man and God and that brings damning effect on our society and country at large.
Therefore, the subject of holiness is very important and must be practiced by believers and all.
When we say holiness, it's not just in the heart. It should be seen by others. This is what makes our society good.
Holiness will make you obey laws (traffic and general laws), respect people and show love"
He finally added that
"Christians must be a shining light in our society"
