See what senator Shehu Sani said about minimum wage

Struggle continues as NLC still hold on to their demand on the increment of minimum wage for workers.
The committee responsible for this held a meeting on Monday 29th October 2018.

Vice president of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Chris Ngige, minister of labour, Zainab Ahmed, minister of finance and six governors were in attendance at the meeting which held at the presidential villa, Abuja.

The meeting ended inconclusively.

Report said that though the governors were willing to pay the N30,000 new minimum wage demanded by workers, they lack the capacity to do so.

Senator Shehu Sani of Kaduna central district took to his twitter handle supporting the NLC and that the minimum wage should be increased.

He said
NLC’s nationwide mass protest is commendable. Those who can pay 22k as minimum wage should just add 8k to make it 30k.Nigeria’s economy can sustain it. The struggle must continue. I will add a strong voice of solidarity to this on the floor of the senate.
